A letter to our clients, friends, employees and their families:
In light of the COVID-19 outbreak and precautionary measures we are all taking to keep ourselves and each other safe, we at Summus will be amending our normal work practices to ensure we can meet the needs of our clients throughout this time as completely as possible.
Our monitoring station has preemptively taken steps to allow operators to work from home via VLAN where possible.
Our service office has taken measures to allow our phone and computer based tech support to work from home.
We will be sending trucks stocked with tools and parts home with our technicians each night so they can work directly from their trucks and minimize contact with other employees.
We have increased the amount of regularly used service parts on hand at our office as we expect a disruption to our supply chain.
All of the above has been done so that we may do the very best job at keeping our commitments to our customers even in the face of a situation none of us has experienced before.
The first promise we made to everyone of our customers was to answer the phone when you call.
We intend to keep that promise even now.
If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us at 1-877-667-7839
We may limit in person service calls to critical problems and delay calls for things like low batteries and user lessons as the situation develops.
For now we are open for business as usual. We only ask that you inform us if you are ill or in quarantine before we visit your site so that we may make informed decisions on what precautions to take.
Thank you for your patience.
Let’s get through this together and use the kindness we offer to others as the method to measure ourselves.
Through thick and thin,
Ted Dzogan – Summus
